Welcome to our club
We are a self-help group ranging from experienced goat-keepers to raw beginners.
Our interests cover general husbandry, breeding, showing, mohair fleece production, mohair processing (including hand-spinning, weaving and dyeing) and meat marketing.
We meet about 6 times a year - for workshops and teaching sessions usually held at a member's holding; visits to places of interest such as spinning mills and tanneries; fund-raising events and also purely social get-togethers. We hold a club show and produce three newsletters a year to keep members up to date with our own activities and to pass on any information from The British Angora Goat Society (BAGS) our parent society. We often 'club together' to make bulk purchases of feed or mineral supplements.
